Akerlei Idiomas is recruiting an English teacher for an immediate opening in Ermua, a well-connected town between Bilbao and San Sebastián. The role includes learners of different ages in small classes and may be renewed beyond the initial contract.

Position Details

  • Teach children, teenagers, and adults
  • Classes of no more than 12 students
  • Afternoon and evening teaching schedule
  • Approximately 25 contact hours per week
  • Additional planning, preparation, and meeting time under the applicable collective agreement

Requirements

  • University degree
  • CELTA or TEFL qualification
  • At least one year of English-teaching experience
  • Availability to begin immediately
  • Existing legal authorization to work in Spain

Cambridge examination-preparation experience is desirable. Because the position requires an immediate start, applicants already living in Spain will receive priority.

The school cannot sponsor a work visa. Eligible applicants include EU, EEA, or Swiss citizens and people who already hold a valid Spanish work authorization.
