KIUM English Academy is seeking a native English teacher for its structured elementary and middle-school program in Dongtan. The academy provides an established curriculum, teaching materials, and lesson guidelines, and the position does not include kindergarten classes.

Preferred start date: December 2026, with flexibility for an earlier start

Contract: 12 months

Schedule and Responsibilities

  • Monday–Friday, 1:00–8:00 p.m.
  • Up to 25 teaching hours per week
  • Teach elementary and middle-school English lessons
  • Prepare classroom activities using the established curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback
  • Complete monthly progress reports
  • Attend staff meetings and collaborate with other teachers

Requirements

  • Native English speaker
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • E-2 visa or an F-series visa that permits employment in South Korea
  • Responsible and organized approach to following an established teaching system

Applicants already living in South Korea are strongly preferred. Experience teaching elementary and middle-school students, particularly writing and essay writing, is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary from ₩2.3 million per month, negotiable based on qualifications and experience
  • ₩400,000 monthly housing allowance
  • Total monthly compensation from ₩2.7 million
