Arun Language Training & Recruitment is seeking teachers for private English language schools throughout Taiwan. Positions are available in Taipei, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Keelung, Pingtung, Changhua, Hsinchu, and other locations.

Start dates: Now through January 2027

Requirements

  • Passport from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, or Ireland, as required by current visa rules
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, or a U.S. associate degree
  • TEFL certificate for applicants qualifying with a U.S. associate degree
  • Hard copy of the degree certificate
  • National criminal background check issued within the previous six months
  • Passport valid for at least two years
  • Degree completed predominantly on campus rather than online
  • Enthusiasm for teaching students from preschool through age 16

Compensation and Benefits

  • NT$600–730 per teaching hour, depending on qualifications and experience
  • At least 20 guaranteed teaching hours per week, with up to 26 hours available
  • Expected monthly earnings of approximately NT$56,000–75,000
  • NT$3,000 monthly stipend for meetings, preparation, and training
  • NT$10,000 contract-completion bonus
  • No office hours

The employer states that teachers enter Taiwan on a 90-day visitor visa and receive assistance converting to a work permit after arrival.
