The International School of Choueifat Erbil is seeking English teachers to implement the SABIS curriculum and teaching methods while helping students reach their academic potential.

Responsibilities

  • Teach classes using supplied lesson plans and pacing charts
  • Mark exams and monitor student performance
  • Apply the SABIS Point System in the classroom
  • Support students who are performing below expectations
  • Help students prepare for external examinations when required
  • Proctor examinations and substitute for absent teachers as needed
  • Participate in student-life activities, school duties, and training sessions
  • Communicate disciplinary or performance concerns to academic leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
  • Strong English proficiency
  • At least one year of teaching experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional conduct, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to meet local education, certification, reference-check, and background-check requirements
