Rui De Language Schools are seeking one energetic English instructor in Changhua. The established schools teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing to students up to age 18 and prepare learners for Taiwan’s General English Proficiency Test.

Contract: At least one year

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging classes for different ages and ability levels
  • Collaborate with Taiwanese co-teachers on lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide constructive feedback on student reports and essays
  • Help young learners develop confidence and English fluency

Requirements

  • Native English speaker
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Experience working with children or young adults through teaching, coaching, mentoring, or similar work
  • Energetic, flexible, and sociable approach
  • Interest in Taiwanese culture and language
  • Ability to complete at least a one-year contract

Compensation and Benefits

  • NT$715 per teaching hour for group classes
  • NT$650 per teaching hour for tutorials
  • At least 18 teaching hours guaranteed each week
  • Private furnished studio apartment at reduced rent
  • Free housing for the remainder of the arrival month
  • Internet and cable included, excluding electricity and a NT$200 water charge
  • Airport pickup
  • End-of-year bonus of approximately US$1,000 when the stated criteria are met
  • Work-permit and visa sponsorship leading to an ARC

  • Paid training at NT$550 per hour when facing classes
