The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan is recruiting English teachers for public secondary schools throughout the country. Minecraft Consulting is coordinating applications for these fixed-term positions.

Contract: December 2026–May 2027, with possible renewal

Responsibilities

  • Teach communication-focused English lessons to students ages 11–16 in grades 7–11
  • Plan lessons and prepare teaching materials
  • Assess progress and maintain an effective classroom environment
  • Help students work toward their language-learning goals
  • Lead English clubs, workshops, seminars, and other extracurricular activities
  • Deliver two professional-development sessions each year for local teachers

Workload

  • 20 classroom teaching hours per week
  • Eight extracurricular activity hours per week

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject
  • Internationally recognized qualification such as CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, TEFL, TESOL, TESL, or equivalent
  • At least one year of English-teaching experience
  • Availability to relocate to Uzbekistan in December 2026
  • Police clearance or DBS check and two professional references if selected

Compensation and Benefits

  • US$1,500–$3,500 per month, depending on qualifications and experience
