This government-backed initiative is recruiting 50 English teachers to work with secondary students in Uzbekistan. Placements may be in Tashkent and other historic cities, including Samarkand and Bukhara.

Start dates: October and November 2026

Responsibilities

  • Teach 20 contact hours per week to students in Grades 9–11
  • Lead two hours of weekly seminars for local faculty
  • Facilitate six hours of extracurricular English-immersion activities

Requirements

  • Native-level English
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in TESOL, Linguistics, or Education; alternatively, a degree in another field with CELTA, TEFL, or TESOL certification
  • At least two years of English-teaching experience at the secondary or high-school level
  • Interest in cultural immersion and collaborative educational work

Salary and Benefits

  • $2,000–$3,500 USD per month, based on experience
