Euroamerican College is recruiting an experienced secondary humanities teacher to develop students’ historical understanding, critical thinking, and knowledge of social, political, and economic issues.

Start date: February 10, 2027

Foreign-employee contract: February 2027–December 2028

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in education, specializing in social sciences, history, or a related field
  • Proven secondary teaching experience in Peruvian and world history
  • Experience teaching economics, social studies, citizenship, and civic education
  • Strong understanding of the Peruvian National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of the IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme
  • Experience preparing students for research, presentations, debates, and Model United Nations
  • Advanced written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Ability to teach historical inquiry, critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and responsible citizenship
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with digital teaching tools and educational platforms
  • Bilingual or IB-school experience highly desirable

International applicants must provide an apostilled police clearance from their home country and be willing to relocate and complete immigration procedures.

Employment Support

The school covers 100% of the costs of changing immigration status from tourist to foreign worker in Peru. The advertisement does not state a salary.
