Abaarso Network is recruiting educators for its nonprofit education network in Somaliland. Its institutions serve secondary pupils, university students, and primary-age children.

Schools and Teaching Environment

  • Abaarso School: A coeducational boarding school serving grades 7–12, with NEASC accreditation
  • Barwaaqo University: A residential women’s university offering education and communications degrees
  • Kaabe Schools: Primary schools using a Montessori approach, where foreign hires work alongside locally trained teachers

At Abaarso School, teachers also contribute through advising, clubs, sports, project days, office hours, events, and administrative duties. Kaabe welcomes educators with Montessori or general primary-school experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education
  • Master’s degree advantageous
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Initiative, ambition, and a practical approach to achieving results
  • Ability to work independently through uncertainty and in an environment with limited resources
