A US university program in Luoyang is recruiting two language instructors and two IT instructors for its February 2027 intake.

Contract: One year from February 2027, with extension possible

Teaching Conditions

  • Approximately 20 teaching hours per week
  • Students ages 19–23, with approximately 40 students per class
  • No required office hours; teaching-related responsibilities still apply
  • Chinese teaching assistants support classes

Language Instructors

Teach Public Speaking and Basic Writing across the academic year. Monthly pay is RMB 12,000–15,000, depending on qualifications and background.

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • At least two years of teaching experience
  • Clean criminal background check
  • TESOL or TEFL certification preferred

IT Instructors

Teach System Analysis and Design and Database Management in spring 2027. Fall courses include Introduction to Management Information Systems, Introduction to Information Technology, and Introduction to Computers. Monthly pay is RMB 12,000–16,000, depending on qualifications and background.

Requirements:

  • Clear, natural spoken English; open to all English speakers
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; computer science, information systems, database analysis, or related majors preferred
  • At least one year of relevant subject-teaching experience
  • Ability to teach both spring courses and introductory IT/MIS courses
  • Clean criminal background check
